Biography
Dr. Baker specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, complex retinal detachment surgery, and macular surgery.
He graduated from Villanova University, Jefferson Medical College. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at New England Eye Center of Tufts University School of Medicine; and his vitreoretinal fellowship at New England Eye Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston.
Dr. Baker assumed an academic position at Boston University as a clinical professor and was the Director of Clinical Retinal Services. He joined Vitreo-Retinal Associates as a partner and continues to provide specialized care there. Dr. Baker maintains academic appointments at Tufts University and the Veterans Administration Hospital systems. He is actively involved with training of young ophthalmologists from the Harvard and Boston University teaching hospitals. He has authored peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and lectures at nationally recognized ophthalmologic meetings.
Dr. Baker sees patients in the Concord office of Lexington Eye Associates.
