Biography
Dr. Nedda Del Plato (formally Sanayei) is a board-certified ophthalmologist seeing patients for annual eye exams, the diagnosis and surgical management of cataracts, and the medical management of a wide range of conditions, including glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Del Plato graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. She completed medical school training at Tufts University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received the Glasgow-Rubin Citation for Academic Achievement. She then went on to complete her internship and ophthalmology residency at Boston Medical Center. While in her final year at Boston Medical Center, Dr. Sanayei was selected to serve as the chief resident. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology of New England Ophthalmology Society.
Dr. Del Plato is originally from Lexington, MA, and is excited to be back in the area to serve the community. She is accepting new patients in the Lexington and Westford offices of Lexington Eye Associates.
